Worth the Read – September 10, 2016

Worth-The-Read-September-10,-2016

The mornings are cooling in Georgia, and that makes for perfect opportunities for reading. This week’s list begins with a relevant and impactful post on how our attitudes towards the church, as well as our faithfulness, affects our children. Also, there are two critical responses to David Gushee’s article advocating (threatening based on coming legal and social pressures) that we capitulate our deeply held convictions based on scripture regarding LGBT rights and same-sex marriage. You need to read and understand what’s going on here. There’s also a glimmer of hope, a “gem,” amidst the craziness of modern college culture in the statement from the University of Chicago’s Dean of Students. For beef, brisket lovers check out the bonus post for some great news! Enjoy and remember just because a post is here doesn’t mean I support the author or endorse everything they write. I put these here to help you be aware and know how to respond in these last, dark days.
