Worth the Read – October 15, 2016

Worth-The-Read-October-15,-2016

Whew! These are certainly interesting and contentious days we are living in as Americans. This is not only a decisive time but a divisive one as well. Though there are several posts this week that deal with the presidential election, I wanted, to begin with, one from Dr. Steven Smith that shows how to preach from the Psalms. If you were at Abilene this past Sunday morning, I shared that the book of Psalms is my favorite book in the Bible. It has been my favorite book since a godly public school teacher taught me how to read through the psalms and proverbs every month. This week’s list is a bit different from lists I’ve shared other weeks, but I pray that what you read here will help you understand the fallen world we live in and encourage you to walk closer to and stand stronger for Jesus. Again, just because a post is listed here doesn’t mean that I agree with the author or what they’ve written. Enjoy and be equipped!
