12 Mar Worth the Read – March 12, 2016
This week has been a sad one on so many levels for me. First, one of my heroes, “Papa Sam” Cathey went to be with the Lord. While I know that he has entered his reward and is now with the Savior he loved and preached for so many years, we’re are certainly going to miss him. Also, it is heartbreaking, and disgusting, to watch as the Republican Governor of Georgia, Nathan Deal, begins his open attack on the Religious Freedom of Christians all the while using the Bible and his Baptist upbringing as cover and his rationale for doing so. Finally, my final link is a story of a Canadian journalist who left a big city and moved to a small town in Ontario. Notice the particular detail of the Sikh man’s home that this self-professed liberal lesbian mentions during her description of the tour of his house. That sad reality isn’t just something happening in Canada; it ‘s taking place every week in America too. As always, a mention here certainly doesn’t equal an endorsement of the writer or what they wrote, only that I think these posts will help you be a more informed Christian in a complex and rapidly changing world. Have a GREAT Saturday!
