As a young pastor in seminary I was blessed to be introduced to the ministry of Dr. Stephen Olford. His name was often spoken of around Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary and Bellevue Baptist Church during my time in Memphis. The times I met him and sat under his teaching blessed and encouraged me. He was an exemplary preacher and teacher of preaching. Nearly 25 years ago I came across a recording of an interview between H.B. London, Jr. and Dr. Olford on the subject of preaching in the old Pastor to Pastor series from Focus on the Family. I have looked on their website and this particular interview doesn’t seem to be available any longer.
