When I was a student at MABTS, the seminary hosted an annual lecture series called the T.V. Farris Lectures on Preaching. In 2001, Haddon Robinson, the well-known professor of preaching at Gordon-Conwell, was invited to speak. He shared two lectures on the nature and practice of preaching. In this first lecture, Dr. Robinson places preaching in its biblical/historical/cultural context.
