22 Oct Worth the Read – October 22, 2016
We have just finished watching the last of the debates of the 2016 presidential election. I’m often asked if God is going to judge America. I don’t think that God is going to judge America. I believe He is judging America. As Calvin once wrote, “When God judges a nation He gives them wicked rulers.” The first half of this week’s reading list deals with either the presidential election or some of the pressing issues that are at stake this cycle for Christians. The second half of the list is more pastoral and deals with apologetics, pastoral longevity and how to minister in personal ways to your people. I hope that you enjoy this week’s list and are equipped to walk closer with Jesus and stand more firmly for Him in these desperate days.
